Since I am spending time at Grandpa’s,  he got me this cool desk.   This is the first video.  Grandpa fixed up the TV with a VCR / DVR player and got me this cool lamp (you will see it sometime later. Thanks Uncle Vincent, Grandpa has been pulling stuff from all your college boxes you left here).  I am using Auntie Sam’s chair from her desk.

Back to work for me.

Scarlett’s Day at the beach

Well, as you can see from this video, the first thing I had to do as soon as I got back to Gammy’s house is to tell everyone that  Grandpa let “me” drown.  We were at the beach and I was out a little too far ( hanging out with a new friend Shilah, a gal in fourth grade).   The surf was small and the tide was such where I could walk out far… and still be able to stand and have the water about waist high.   Then grandpa told me to start coming in and I fell into a hole that was higher than me!

So, I went all the way to the bottom… above my head.

Grandpa was watching me the whole time, and was able t o walk out and get me, as he was already in the water.  But it was pretty scary. I sunk fast.

So, of course, I had to let everyone know as soon as I came home to Gammy’s.

Auntie Sam was home with her friend from Virginia, Chris.
He is going in to the navy in September 2017 in San Diego.

Later that day, we took a bath… me, Abby and Maggie.

Abby went crazy and jumped on Gammy’s bed.

Then on Sunday, Grandpa and I transferred some plants to replace the flowers in the flower pots outside. I touched a worm.   Before that, grandpa let me use a hammer to nail a long piece of a trunk of a pine tree, opn the fence I painted.

Grandpa also  made me chocolate chip pancakes, and bought me a desk to do my home work.

I slept over Grandpa’s house for a few days, too.

I finished … I thought.And then Grandpa helped me really finish.   After this , I helped Grandpa (for a while, but not completely) paint the big fence.

I like painting a lot.  BUT, I don’t like a lot of painting.
I helped Grandpa paint the big fence for a while, until I was done.  I told him I chose not to do any more painting… that it was my choice.

Then Grandpa went in to one of his explanations about “choice” and being free in this country … you know, the United States.  Then he explained that as a girl, I have more choices in this country than I might in others.

Like, in some countries, girls cannot drive, or go to school, or pick who they marry.  That is messed up.

So, I told Grandpa, that since I live in the United States, I chose to stop painting, and let him finish.

And that explains what I said, when I said, I like painting a lot… but I don’t like a lot of painting.

Scarlett paints a fence Part 1.

This is the first video of me painting a fence.
My Grandpa made this temporary fence to keep Abby from running towards the street and from getting tangled  in the pool filter’s stuff.  Abby stays on  a long rope Grandpa put in the back.

Scarlett does potting soil this week.

Scarlett has another weekend project. This week it is potting soil. The store did not have top soil, so we upgraded to potting soil and grandpa did his negotiation stuff he teaches in his training courses. This is lighter, but dirtier. I got plenty in my boots.

We also planted some sod… too. Grands also bought me some cool folding shelves for my bedroom.

I made cupcakes with grandpa too.

I had a nice day.

Scarlett and Abby water the backyard

Today was a nice warm day and Grandpa asked me to water the grass and the dirt we threw on top of it yesterday.  I helped and found that Abby doesn’t like the sprayer on the hose.  Abby was on a long long rope Grandpa put together that Auntie Sam does not like.

But, Abby likes  it because she gets a chance to dig in lots of places, chase lizards and bugs, and eat grass.  I think Abby is the only dog that grazes like a cow.

I think the backyard grass will grow soon… I hope.
Right now, it’s a bit messy.

If you were wondering, “yes” my Grandpa made a contraption with a bucket and a pulley and some rope… and he has me learning things like weight, volume, leverage, mechanical devices like the pulley.

But at least I get to play.

He also showed me the light side and the dark side of the moon… and explained how that happens… as there was the moon out during the day in just the right position for one of Grandpa’s learning moments.  Then he said something about some “pink floyd” thing and one of the greatest concept albums that was ever made.

Whatever…

PS. I didn’t want to go home… so Grandpa said, “let’s run-away!”  We got as far as Ed’s house before Daddy came outside and told me we had to go… bummer

Since I was still wet from playing in the water outside, I had to wear some borrowed T-shirt and more from Grandma’s house.   One day I will tell you what the “more” was.  Nothing bad.  Grandpa said they didn’t fit any more.

Scarlett helps Grandpa with Project “Dirt”

Today is April 1st 2017.

My Grandpa asked me to help with a project around the house.  We needed to take some dirt and throw  it in the backyard after all the salt water from the Hurricane last year killed the grass.  You can see what I mean in the videos below when I was 5.

I just got finished with my karate lessons and I changed in to a skirt so I would not mess up my karate uniform.

I did so well, Grandpa said we need to get more dirt next weekend too.

Grandpa also took me for a ride in the wheel barrow and we scared some lady on a bike as we emerged from the woods.

Abby and Maggie were outside and my dad helped too.

Well, I just finished in the jacuzzi cleaning up and then Grandpa threw me on the bed a lot.  (Dear Police officers and child protective custody people, I asked him too… like a hundred times)
