This is how the town cleanups up the debris left behind by the hurricanes.  This is from Hurricane Irma. Last year Hurricane Matthew was triple the size.  The wind really prunes off all the dead palm fronds from the palm trees.

Scarlett inspects After Hurricane Irma

Grandpa and I went outside to inspect the after effects of Hurricane Irma.  This was a very large Hurricane and it caused 60% of all of Florida to be without electricity.  It really scared mommy and grandma too.  There was a lot of rain and wind.

It was pretty nasty.  Abby and Maggie were scared too.

I was OK with it though as I got a chance to sleep over again.
That was two nights in a row. and probably tonight too as we do not have electricity at the apartment. My cat is ok though, and my ferret is here.

The backyard always floods at grandpa’s house when there is a hurricane. With Hurricane Irma the flooding was not as bad as Hurricane Matthew last year.  But it was good  enough for us to do  some exploring.  We were out for a while until Uncle Vincent saw a snake in the water. We saw a dead baby squirrel Uncle Vincent thought too.  and some fish.
